ELIMO is a project funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education in Turku, the aim of which is to develop a game for the use of multicultural education for children in grades 4-6 in schools, as part of social studies education. The game will be implemented in Finnish and Swedish.
The project maps the material for multicultural education and examines what kind of materials teachers have at their disposal. The material identified as high-quality and usable will be further developed based on feedback from teachers. The prototype of the game will be developed during the summer of 2019 and it will be tested in the autumn of 2019. The game will be piloted in the spring of 2020 in Turku, first for teachers and then for students, after which it will be available throughout Finland.
The project period is 1.1.2019 – 31.05.2021
